Yuasa AGM batteries are Maintenance Free, with no need to add water, but periodic charging is required when not in use. The advanced lead-calcium technology in these batteries holds its specific gravity more than 3 times longer than conventional lead antimony batteries. The Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) separators absorb the electrolyte, making the battery nonspillable, and the valve-regulated design eliminates water loss and the need for refilling.

These batteries are supplied in a "Bottle Supplied (BS)" format, meaning that the dry AGM batteries are shipped with the electrolyte stored in a plastic container, and the end-user fills the battery with the electrolyte from the container when it's ready to be activated.
